About the WOJ Foundation
The Wayne O Johnson Youth Leadership Foundation was started in 2020 as a charitable nonprofit organization to honor the legacy of the late Wayne O Johnson past student of Toll Gate All Age , Lennon High School and the University of The West Indies. Wayne overcame many obstacles to excel academically and professionally in the area of Mathematics and Statistics, having gained a Masters Degree at the tertiary level. He was a philanthropist at heart, giving back in different ways to the community and believed strongly in the value of education. He started a Maths club in Portmore, St. Catherine to encourage the interest in Mathematics and Statistics at the advanced level. Minister Carolyn McLean and Dr. Andrea Pedro sisters of the late Wayne Johnson have started the organization to carry on the mission.
